4. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

Question 1 Pastor Mirek stressed that God is the source of all increase, and that we must never credit our own intelligence or effort as the reason for our prosperity — pointing to Deuteronomy 8:17 as a warning against that mindset. Why do you think it is so easy, even for sincere believers, to slip into the attitude described in that verse? What habits or practices help keep you anchored to the truth that increase ultimately comes from God?

Question 2 Pastor Mirek described the Word of God as the most important seed a person can sow, saying that what a person believes in their heart directly affects the actions that happen around them. In practical terms, what does it look like for someone in a busy, demanding life to consistently sow the Word into their own heart? What has worked for people in this group, and what has gotten in the way?

Question 3 One of the most striking points Pastor Mirek made was about sowing in famine — continuing to give your time, love, and resources even when circumstances are hard, nothing seems to be working, and a breakthrough feels distant. He used the story of Isaac sowing during a famine and reaping a hundredfold return in the same year as an example. Question 6 Pastor Mirek called the congregation to stop being "triers" and to become committed sowers, describing it as a lifestyle rather than an occasional decision. He said our destiny is shaped by the seeds we sow. As a group, honestly reflect on this: in what specific area — time, words, money, service, or love — does each person most need to become more intentional about sowing in this season?

5. APPLICATION CHALLENGE

This week, each group member is asked to identify one specific seed they will sow by next Sunday that they would not normally sow. This could mean spending thirty minutes on three mornings reading Scripture aloud and praying it over their own life, volunteering one hour of their time to serve someone who cannot repay them, making a financial gift they have been putting off, or writing an encouraging note to someone who is struggling. The seed must be specific, it must require some intentional stretch, and group members should come prepared next week to briefly share what they sowed and what they noticed afterward.

6. PRAYER POINTS

Pray that each group member would develop genuine, consistent hunger for the Word of God, asking the Holy Spirit to make Scripture come alive to them in their daily reading and that they would prioritize time alone with God even in demanding weeks.

Pray for breakthrough over any area of lack, limitation, or fear that has kept group members stuck — whether in their finances, health, family relationships, or sense of calling — and ask God to command the blessing on the seeds they are sowing in faith.

Pray that the group would grow in a kingdom mindset, seeing their increase not as an end in itself but as a resource to lift and bless others around them, in their families, their church, and their community.

Deuteronomy 28:8 "The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you."

Leader's Note: Give people room to be honest in this discussion. Not everyone will be in a season of visible increase, and some may be in a genuine famine. Create space for those voices. The goal is not to manufacture positivity but to help people connect real faith to real life and walk out of your meeting with one concrete step forward.
