In this message, I walked us through what it truly means to position ourselves for God's divine blessing — that supernatural empowerment from heaven that goes far beyond anything our natural minds or abilities can produce on their own. I showed us from Malachi 3 and beyond that the tithe isn't just a financial transaction; it's a heart test, a declaration that God is first in every area of our lives. When we return to God what already belongs to Him, we open the door for Him to command blessing, protection, and supernatural multiplication over everything that remains.

4. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1. Pastor Mirek drew a line between rational thinking and spiritual thinking, pointing out that many things God calls us to — like Abraham leaving his homeland — make no logical sense on the surface. Where in your own life have you found it hardest to trust God's way of doing things over your own reasoning? What helped you — or what's still holding you back?

2. I described divine blessing as "the supernatural empowerment from heaven to bring prosperity and success" — something far deeper than saying "bless you" after a sneeze. How does that definition change the way you think about asking God for blessing, or about whether you're currently walking in it?

3. Leviticus 27:30 says the tithe is the Lord's — it already belongs to Him. I mentioned that tithing is "returning," while offerings are "giving." Does that distinction change how you think about the tithe emotionally or spiritually? Does it feel different to return something versus give something?

4. I talked about the number ten throughout Scripture representing a test, and said the tithe is ultimately a test of the heart — it reveals where our real priorities are. If someone looked at your bank statements right now without any other context, what story would your spending tell them about your priorities? Be honest with yourself here — this is a safe space.

5. I shared that in Matthew 6, Jesus connects a "good eye" — one that is single, generous, and focused on God's purposes — with a life full of light and direction. In practical terms, what does it look like in your daily life to keep your eye "single" on God's kingdom rather than letting money, security, or comfort cloud your vision?

6. I mentioned that God practically says "please" when He invites us to test Him in the tithe — like He's eager to bless us but needs us to get into position. Does it surprise you to think of God as eager rather than reluctant to bless? How does that picture of God compare to the one you grew up with or currently carry?

5. APPLICATION CHALLENGE

This week, take thirty minutes to sit down with your last month's bank or credit card statement and a calculator. Find your total income for that month, calculate what ten percent would look like, and honestly compare it to what you actually gave to your local church. Don't bring shame into this exercise — just bring honesty. Write down one specific, concrete step you can take in the next seven days to move closer to honoring God first with your finances, whether that's setting up an automatic giving account, having a conversation with your spouse about your household giving, or simply committing to give your next paycheck's tithe before you pay anything else.

6. PRAYER POINTS

• Pray for open hearts and honest eyes — that each person in your group would have the courage to examine their relationship with money without shame, and that God would replace fear or confusion with clarity and faith.

• Pray for breakthrough in finances — that God would command His blessing specifically over the households represented in your group this week, rebuking the devourer and opening supernatural doors of provision, opportunity, and multiplication.

• Pray for a revelation of God's generosity — that every person would genuinely encounter God not as a demanding accountant but as an overflowing Father who is eager to pour out blessing on His children who trust Him enough to put Him first.
