Wake Up — The Season Is Now
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 — "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."
I want you to hear my heart this morning — we are living in the season of Christ's return. I'm not saying that to frighten you. I'm saying it to awaken you. When I walk through our city and talk to people, I see so much confusion, so much spiritual drowsiness. People have drifted. Life got busy. Faith got quiet. But friend, this is no time to sleep. The rapture isn't a distant fairy tale — it is a promised, approaching reality. Jesus Himself said no one knows the day or hour, but we absolutely know the season. And beloved, we are in it. Let that truth light a fire in you today. Don't coast. Don't drift. Live with your eyes open and your heart fully surrendered to the King who is coming.
Lord Jesus, wake me up to the reality of Your return. I don't want to sleepwalk through this season — I want to live fully awake and fully Yours. Come quickly, Lord. Maranatha.
Don't Drift — The Falling Away Is Real
1 Timothy 4:1 — "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons."
I have to be honest with you — this verse breaks my heart and sharpens my resolve at the same time. In the year 2000, there were around 129 million practicing Christians in America. Twenty years later, that number had been cut nearly in half. That is not a statistic. Those are people. People who once raised their hands in worship, who once opened their Bibles, who once called Jesus Lord — and drifted. The Spirit expressly warned us this would happen. Deceiving spirits don't announce themselves. They whisper. They justify. They lull you into a comfortable distance from God where everything feels fine but nothing is truly surrendered. I want to challenge you today — check your heart honestly. Is your faith alive and growing, or has it quietly cooled? The Word of God is your anchor. Hold it tight and don't let the current of this age pull you downstream.
Holy Spirit, expose any area in my heart where deception has crept in quietly. I want my faith to be real, alive, and growing — not just a memory of what used to be. Keep me anchored in Your Word.
Perilous Times Call for Powerful Faith
2 Timothy 3:1 — "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come."
Paul didn't write those words to scare Timothy — he wrote them to prepare him. And I'm sharing them with you for the same reason. We are living in perilous times. The moral boundaries that once held our society together are being dismantled one by one. Lawlessness is rising. Persecution of believers is at a level the world hasn't seen before — over 50,000 Christians killed in northern Nigeria alone in the last fifteen years. That is staggering. But here is what I want you to hold onto: perilous times have never once stopped the purposes of God. In fact, the church has historically shone brightest in her darkest moments. Your faith was never designed for comfort alone — it was built for pressure. The same God who sustained the early church through lions and flames is sustaining you right now. Don't shrink back. Stand firm. Your faith is your victory.
Father, I refuse to be shaken by the chaos around me. Strengthen my faith for these perilous times and let my life be a testimony that You are still on the throne. I trust You completely.
Oil in Your Lamp — Are You Truly Ready?
Matthew 25:10 — "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut."
I have to ask you the same question I ask myself — are you truly ready? Not just church-attending ready. Not just head-nodding ready. Truly, deeply, oil-in-your-lamp ready? The ten virgins in Matthew 25 were all waiting for the same bridegroom. They all called themselves believers. But five of them hadn't paid the price of real dedication. Their lamps were running dry because they hadn't committed fully. That oil represents genuine, active, surrendered devotion to Jesus. It cannot be borrowed from someone else's relationship with God. You cannot ride on your spouse's faith or your parents' prayers. You need your own oil — bought through your own prayer life, your own time in the Word, your own obedience, your own sacrifice. The door shut for five of them. That is the most sobering sentence in this passage. Don't let it be your story. Buy your oil now while there is still time.
Jesus, I want a full lamp — not a halfway life. Search my heart and show me where I've been coasting spiritually. I choose today to go all in with You, no holding back.
Live Like He's Coming — Because He Is
2 Thessalonians 2:7 — "For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way."
Lawlessness is not coming — it is already here, already working, already increasing. We feel it in our culture, in our schools, in the rising hostility toward everything that is holy and true. But here is the glorious flip side of that reality: if the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, then the mystery of the rapture is already unfolding too. Jesus is coming. Not as a baby in a manger this time — but on a white horse, King of kings and Lord of lords, coming to take back what is His. And we get to be part of that story. I want to close this week by reminding you that following Jesus is not a side activity — it is everything. It is your mandate, your mission, your magnificent hope. Work while it is still day. Reach someone this week. Share your faith. Live out loud for the One who is returning in glory. Pedal to the metal, church. He is worth every ounce of all you've got.
Lord Jesus, I believe You are coming soon and I want to be found faithful when You arrive. Let my life this week be an act of worship — active, bold, and fully surrendered to Your kingdom purpose. Come, Lord Jesus.
The Clock Is Ticking — And That's Good News
Matthew 24:33 — "So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, right at the door."
I want you to understand something that I carry in my heart every single day — we are living in the season of Jesus' return. When I look at the headlines, when I see the lawlessness increasing around us, when I watch nations rise against nations, I don't despair. I look up. Jesus told us we wouldn't know the exact hour or the day, but He absolutely said we could know the season. And friends, the season is now. In 1948, when Israel became a nation, God set a prophetic clock in motion. Every sign Jesus described in Matthew 24 is unfolding right before our eyes. This isn't meant to frighten you — it's meant to wake you up and fill you with holy anticipation. The King is coming. The Creator of heaven and earth is returning. That changes everything about how I live today.
Lord Jesus, thank You that Your return isn't a mystery to those who read Your Word. Open my eyes to the season we're living in, and let that reality ignite fresh purpose in my heart today. Come quickly, Lord. Amen.
The Great Exchange — A Brand New Body Is Coming
1 Corinthians 15:53 — "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
I love this passage so much because it reminds me that God isn't finished with us yet — not even close. Yes, our spirits are saved. Yes, our souls are being renewed by the Word of God. But there is a divine exchange still coming that will complete everything Jesus purchased for us. This body of yours — the one that gets tired, the one that aches, the one that carries the marks of a fallen world — is going to be traded in for something glorious. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, everything changes. Death doesn't get the last word. The grave doesn't win. I love how Paul shouts it out: "O death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" That greatest victory is still ahead of us, and I want you to walk through this day with that joy bubbling up inside you.
Father, thank You that my best days aren't behind me — they are gloriously ahead of me. Help me to live today with the confidence that You have promised me a resurrection, a new body, and eternal life. I praise You for that hope. Amen.
Don't Be Shaken — He Is Still In Control
2 Thessalonians 2:2 — "That you not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come."
I find it fascinating that Paul had to write a second letter to Thessalonica because they were still anxious and confused about the end times. And honestly? I understand that. When you look at the world around us — the deception, the moral collapse, the lawlessness that is increasing every single day — it is easy to feel rattled. But I want to say to you what Paul said to them: don't be shaken. There is a mystery of lawlessness at work, yes. Satan has a plan, yes. But here's what I know — God's plan is bigger, older, and infinitely more powerful. The lawlessness we see isn't catching God off guard. It's actually confirming that His Word is true and His timeline is right on track. You don't need to fear what you can see when you trust the One who sees everything.
Lord, when the noise of this world tries to shake my mind, anchor me in Your Word and Your promises. I choose to trust Your sovereignty today over every headline and every fear. You are in control. Amen.
The Mercy That Never Stops Reaching
Revelation 22:17 — "And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say, 'Come!' And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely."
One of the things that moves me most when I study the end times is the relentless mercy of God. Even in the worst season this world will ever experience — the great tribulation — God doesn't stop reaching for people. He raises up 144,000 Jewish evangelists. He sends two witnesses to preach in the streets of Jerusalem. He even looses angels to fly around the entire earth, preaching the gospel and warning people not to take the mark of the beast. That is the heart of God on full display. He doesn't want anyone to end up in the lake of fire. Not a single soul. His final invitation in all of Scripture is still "Come." He is still saying it today. And if He is that relentless in His mercy during the most terrible days the earth will ever see, imagine how He feels about you right now, today, in this moment.
Jesus, Your mercy absolutely overwhelms me. Thank You for never stopping Your pursuit of people — including me. Give me that same relentless heart for someone in my life who doesn't yet know You. Amen.
He Is Coming On A White Horse — And We Win
Revelation 19:11 — "Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war."
I want to close this week by lifting your eyes all the way up. When I read Revelation 19, my spirit leaps. Every scheme of the enemy, every global agenda, every act of lawlessness, every lie spoken against the people of God — it all gets answered by one image: Jesus riding a white horse, His name Faithful and True, His robe dipped in His own blood, coming to redeem this earth from every curse. I don't care how powerful the enemy looks right now. I don't care how loud the voices of darkness seem. Jesus wins. Completely. Totally. Gloriously. And because He wins, I win. Because He wins, you win. We serve the living Christ, and His victory is not in question. So walk into your weekend with your head high and your faith strong. The King is coming, and His name is Faithful and True.
Lord Jesus, You are Faithful and True — in my life, in history, and in the age to come. I declare today that I am on the winning side, and I will live like it. Come quickly, King Jesus. Amen.
He Is Coming Back for You
John 14:3 — "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
I want you to sit with this promise this morning. Jesus didn't say "maybe" or "if things work out." He said *I will come*. That's not wishful thinking — that's a covenant. When I study the prophetic scriptures, I'm not doing it to frighten anyone. I'm doing it because this promise of his return is meant to anchor your soul in the storms of everyday life. The first disciples were told on the very day the church was born that Jesus is coming back. That truth propelled them through persecution, poverty, and pressure. It can do the same for you today. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. Jesus personally prepared a place with *your* name on it. Let that reality shift how you walk into this Monday morning. You are deeply, personally loved by the King of Kings.
Jesus, thank you for the promise that you are coming back for me. Help me carry that truth with me today so that nothing I face feels bigger than your faithfulness. I trust you.
A Nation Born in a Day
Isaiah 66:8 — "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children."
I genuinely get stirred every time I think about May 15th, 1948. A nation — the nation of Israel — was born in a single day, exactly as Isaiah prophesied thousands of years before it happened. That's not coincidence. That's the fingerprint of a supernatural God who keeps every word he speaks. When I look at Israel as the prophetic clock of the earth, it gives me confidence that *everything else* God has promised is equally certain. If he restored a scattered people, resurrected a dead language, and rebuilt a nation against impossible odds, he will absolutely fulfill every promise he's made over your life too. Your situation may look dead and buried, but our God specializes in resurrection. Let Israel's miraculous rebirth remind you today that nothing is too hard for the God who keeps his word across thousands of years.
Father, your faithfulness to Israel is proof of your faithfulness to me. Wherever I've stopped believing your promises are still alive, breathe new hope into my heart today. You are a promise-keeping God.
Don't Let Your Love Grow Cold
Matthew 24:12 — "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold."
This verse stopped me cold when I really sat with it. Jesus isn't warning about the world losing love — he's warning *believers*. That word "love" is *agape* — the God-kind of love that only lives in a born-again heart. And he's saying that in the last days, even that love can grow cold. I've seen it happen. I've watched Christians become more passionate about political arguments than about people who need Jesus. I've watched offense and division freeze hearts that once burned with fire. Here's my honest word to you this Wednesday: don't let the noise, the lawlessness, the headlines, or even the disappointments you've experienced in the church steal your warmth. Guard your love fiercely. Fan that flame deliberately. The greatest sign that you belong to Jesus isn't your theology — it's whether you still love people the way he loves them.
Lord, don't let my love grow cold. Where offense has created distance or disappointment has built walls, come and melt that ice today. Keep my heart warm and open like yours.
The Language of Eternity
Zephaniah 3:9 — "For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the LORD, to serve Him with one accord."
When I think about Eliezer Ben Yehuda and the miraculous resurrection of the Hebrew language, I'm reminded that God is always in the business of restoration. What the world declares dead, he declares *not finished yet*. Zephaniah prophesied that God would restore a pure language so his people could call on his name together. That's exactly what happened with Israel — and I believe it's a picture of what he wants to do in each of our hearts. Maybe there's something in your life that feels like a dead language — a dream, a relationship, a calling you've stopped speaking out loud. God is a restorer. He doesn't just patch things up; he brings them back to life with power and purpose. Pull up your tent pegs from being too deeply planted in the dirt of temporary things. You're passing through, and eternity is pulling you forward.
Father, restore what I've given up on. Speak life over the places in me that have gone silent. I want to call on your name with my whole heart again today.
Passing Through With Purpose
